about this composition
Inspired from hearing a live piano and violin performance about love and reminiscence, I decided to compose a song that would invoke emotions contrary to that song. The composition required less than four hours to complete.
The composition style experiments on triadic transformations, dissonance, and a variation of the twelve-tone technique. The variation of the twelve-tone technique uses eight tones instead, chosen from the OCT2,3 collection. This is my first time using the (modified) twelve-tone technique.
